Shane Hart is an internationally-renowned and respected tattoo artist who started his career at the tender age of sixteen in America’s Heartland; Kansas City. Throughout his illustrious career, which is nearing two decades, Shane has owned and operated “Shane Hart’s Studio of Tattooing” in Lawrence, Kansas and hosted and promoted “Shane Hart’s Tattoofest-2002” at the Adams Mark Hotel in Kansas City, MO. He is also known for illustrating and designing products for companies and organizations both inside and outside of the tattoo industry.
Since 1995, Shane has been involved with the highly-esteemed National Tattoo Association (NTA), participating regularly in their annual conventions. He served a short period of time on the board of directors of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists (APT). and has received numerous awards, including NTA awards for “Best Colored Back-piece”, “Best Unique” and “Best Color Design Sheet”.
In addition to tattooing, Shane is also well-renowned in the tattoo industry for his award-winning design sheets which are sold internationally through National Tattoo Supply and Cherry Creek Flash.
Preferring to tattoo those who are passionate about what they want illustrated on their bodies, Shane enjoys creating meaningful pieces of art; which is why he is an excellent addition to Steel City Tattoo.
Rich and Shane met through the National Tattoo Association and have been discussing collaboration for over a decade since they have a similar affinity for their art. We are thrilled to have Shane Hart join the Uncle Bud Studios team!
